SmallRig RA-L65 Lantern Softbox

SmallRig RA-L65 Lantern Softbox: Omni-Directional Soft Light for Any Set
The SmallRig RA-L65 Lantern Softbox is an omni-directional light modifier, ideal for overhead use on a boom, as a fill light, or for generally elevating the ambient light level on your set. This allows you to employ more focused lighting instruments for specific areas of your live-action scene, interview setup, or product photography, all while maintaining a consistent overall ambient exposure. The soft, even output boosts light levels, lifting your entire set out of darkness without casting the harsh shadows that a key light might.

Enhanced Creative Control
Increasing ambient light levels with the RA-L65 enables your talent to move more naturally throughout the scene without being plunged into darkness, while still allowing you to craft strong, dramatic lighting effects where desired. An included 4-section cloth skirt easily attaches to the softbox, providing precise control over light spill and preventing it from hitting walls, which helps you create more contrast in specific areas.

Universal Compatibility and Easy Setup
The high-quality diffusion fabric creates smooth, omni-directional soft light without affecting the color or CRI rating of your fixture’s output. The lantern softbox features a Bowens speed ring, ensuring compatibility with a vast array of light fixtures for both stills and video production. The diffusion material attaches securely to the speed ring, making both setup and breakdown quick and effortless.
