Powered by the new AtomOS 11 operating system, the Ninja offers an enhanced icon interface for more intuitive operation and a host of new features. Essential monitoring functions include Focus Peaking, Zoom, Atomos and ARRI False Color, EL Zone colorized exposure, Safe Areas, RecordAssist, PlayBackAssist, SegmentPro, and Cine Guides. The advanced AtomHDR processing engine enables real-time Log to PQ/HLG previewing, ensuring accurate monitoring of your footage.

The Ninja’s 5.2″ IPS touchscreen provides a crisp 1920 x 1080 resolution and a bright 1000 cd/m² display, making it easily viewable even in broad daylight. With 10-bit color processing, Rec.709 color gamut, and support for Calibrite ColorChecker Display Pro/Plus calibration, you can trust in color-accurate, high-quality monitoring of your footage.

Comprehensive Color and RAW Recording
The Ninja supports a wide array of log formats from leading camera manufacturers, including Sony, ARRI, JVC, RED, FUJIFILM, Nikon, Panasonic, and Canon. You can upload custom 3D LUTs and output HDR conversions to Log, HLG, PQ, or Dolby Vision formats.

Its HDMI input and output ports support up to DCI 4K video at 60 fps for monitoring, recording, and playback. Crucially, the Ninja supports RAW recording over HDMI with over 55 different cameras, allowing for capture up to 6K at 30 fps, and even 3.5K RAW at 60 fps with select cameras.

Beyond Production: 4K HDR Gaming Capture
The Ninja is not just for filmmaking; it can also be configured as a standalone system for UHD 4K, HDR, and high frame rate gaming capture. Record, monitor, and instantly review your gameplay for seamless posting to YouTube or other platforms.

Expand Your Workflow with Optional Modules
Atomos CONNECT Module (Optional): This separately available module unlocks powerful cloud workflows like C2C, Atomos Edit, and Atomos RemoteView via Atomos Cloud Studio. The CONNECT module adds 12G-SDI connectivity, AirGlu wireless timecode and control, Wi-Fi 6, and GigE Ethernet to your monitor. This allows you to send video signals to live streaming platforms, via NDI, and to custom RTMP/S destinations. You can also cross-convert HDMI to SDI and SDI to HDMI video.
AtomX CAST (Optional): Transform your Ninja into a compact, fully-featured production studio with the AtomX CAST. This component enables advanced multi-input switching from four 1080p HDMI sources, graphic overlays, and a USB UVC webcam output for enhanced web conferencing and live streaming.
Flexible Recording and Power Options
The Ninja is compatible with Atomos Master Caddy II and Master Caddy III 2.5″ hard drive units for direct recording. You can also record onto compact AtomX SSDmini drives and CFAST II cards using a separately available adapter.

Powering the Ninja is flexible: an L-series battery plate on the back supports NP-F L-series batteries (5.8 to 7.2V), and a USB-C port supports 30W PD power delivery with the included cable. An included dummy eliminator allows for DC power sources.

Intuitive Control
Multifunction control buttons work in tandem with the touchscreen for intuitive onboard control. Auto HDMI camera trigger is supported by Canon and Sony cameras using Atomos Open Standard. Further remote control options are unlocked with the optional CONNECT module (Bluetooth and RF-driven) and a separately available USB-C to serial connection cable for LANC control and calibration.
