Blackmagic Design Pocket Cinema Camera 6K (Canon EF/EF-S)

Blackmagic Design takes compact cine-style capture to the next level with the Pocket Cinema Camera 6K, featuring a Super 35 sensor. This camera allows recording of up to 50 fps at a resolution of 6144 x 3456, and it boasts an active Canon EF mount, providing compatibility with a wide range of EF/EF-S lenses.

The BMPCC 6K offers versatile options such as capturing two shots from a single frame, upscaling to 8K, or simply obtaining rich, detailed footage using your preferred EF/EF-S lens. Its internal color processing ensures seamless integration with BMPCC 4K footage for easy intercutting. You can record internally using CFast 2.0 and SD/UHS-II card slots, or output to an external drive via the USB-C port for extended recording times. The camera includes a DaVinci Resolve Studio license and supports Blackmagic Raw capture for streamlined editing with metadata using DaVinci Resolve.

While maintaining the familiar controls and menu layout of the BMPCC 4K, the compact BMPCC 6K has a slightly deeper form to accommodate the EF lens mount. It offers features like ISO support up to 25,600, 13 stops of dynamic range, 1920 x 1080 monitor output, and a bright 5″ LCD touchscreen with a resolution of 1920 x 1080. Professional audio support includes a mini XLR input with +48V phantom power and four built-in microphones. The compact design of the BMPCC 6K makes it less intrusive in various shooting scenarios, making it suitable for indie films, wildlife photography, fashion shoots, and more. Its carbon fiber polycarbonate composite construction ensures both lightweight portability and durability.

Additional professional features of the BMPCC 6K include lens metadata support, 3D LUT application for monitoring and recording, still image capture with up to 21.2MP resolution, and a multifunction grip for convenient single-handed operation. For multicamera shoots, you can sync multiple cameras by linking an external timecode generator to the BMPCC 6K’s internal timecode generator via the 3.5mm audio port. In post-production, you can save time by using Resolve 16.1 to automatically synchronize your multicamera shots.

In addition to the DaVinci Resolve Studio activation key, the BMPCC 6K package includes a power supply that enables simultaneous battery charging, an LP-E6 battery, a lens port cap, and a camera strap.
